ABOUT OUR FEY BABES
Combining the art of the striptease with roleplaying, improv, circus, sideshow, magic, and other extraordinary abilities, let our Fey Babes enchant and enthrall you! Each performer will do stage sets as well as interact with guests on the floor as original characters that they've either created just for this occasion or perhaps ones they've played for for numerous TTRPG sessions and have always wanted to bring to life.
Note: Our performers are required to embody the magical fey beings they've chosen to become ALL NIGHT. Please don't ask them personal questions or try to force them to break character. It's a dick move.

Prior to the Covid pandemic, Whiskey & Rhinestones was a weekly burlesque mainstay in the heart of New Orleans. For 5 years, we entertained tourists, locals, and hosted some of the biggest burlesque stars in the industry! After a long hiatus, Whiskey & Rhinestones returns in it's new forever home - The Original Nite Cap! Nestled upstairs in the historic 7th Ward of New Orleans overlooking St. Bernard Ave -- burlesque dancers invoke the spirit of history and celebration of the city while you enjoy incredible cocktails and a smattering of delicious food options to enjoy during the show.
The Original Nite Cap operates under the direction of local burlesque legend, Bella Blue, and strives to create a guest experience that is unparalleled in both hospitality and quality entertainment. Please do not hesitate to let us know if you are celebrating a special event!

Bella Blue & Gaea Lady hold an intention is to bring people to this amazing city of New Orleans, highlighting the art, music, and scene in an intimate group setting. Daily classes, guest teachers, a Whiskey & Rhinestones show at the Original Nite Cap, silk veils, fire dance, costuming, movement, pole, and more!
We, of course, will be deep diving into burlesque within a supportive community of likeminded artists.
We host classes in the theory of bringing your own creative and generative magic to the world, via a balanced process of listening & action, devotion & dreaming, spaciousness & focus, flexibility & strength.... which we call Pussy Magic.
Gaea will be teaching weighted silk veils, pussy magic theory, and fire dancing.

Your wildness is a thing of power. Nourishing connection with time, energy, movement, and nature can re-establish sweet flow into your life.
In taking an August weekend to commune with Artful living at the nourishing land of Caryatis Farm, I hope you will find more depth in living and practice as I have. ♡
To deepen our play experience with the land, I guide you through one of my favorite processes- natural dyeing!
Dye your own silk veil with seasonal plants gathered from the farm - tbd depending on what is available! This process takes a full day - harvesting, sorting, boiling, straining, mordanting, dipping, rinsing, washing, hanging. You take the silk veil home to dance with!
Spontaneous & Planned Classes will activate our bodies, movement moves intention through in real space & time.
Spaciousness allows time to joyfully relish human connections to nourish ourselves during the dance of the dye process.
Rituals will pepper our days as we ground into deep summer rewilding.
Fire circles will be open both evenings for participation or witnessing. First burns are welcomed.
The Perseid meteor shower will be visible that weekend from the farm - at it’s peak!
Caryatis provides Fri dinner - Sun lunch & accommodations in their big home, camping in the fields, or possibly, a trailer.

When we count time in moons, a different rhythm than the solar calendar emerges. One that encourages us to listen deeply inwards & notice the rapid movement of our lives in this galaxy, as well as subtle shifts in our water bodies & moods. The Full Moon is a time to release & let go, however suits. And we gather to do just that.
Join Gaea Lady, Laine Bones, and Hot Tawdry as we host a night of community, silk veil flow & movement, reflection, revelry, and the brightness of fire in the lusciously spacious garden at Hotel Storyville. All are welcomed!
