Level 2.2 : “Reverse Weave & Pivot Transition” | Gaea Lady Silk Weighted Veil Tutorials
Level 2.2 : “Reverse Weave & Pivot Transition”
Reverse/Under-hand weave
Extensions during a weave
Pivot transition to change directions
Video Description:
In this video we cover the reverse/under-hand weave. Mastering this weave will give you a vast opening to your flow, and will allow you to flow between directional body facings & within turns.
It’s a tricky one, as we move in a direction we don’t usually flow in our daily lives - we carry the weight up towards the face and backwards over the shoulder. This may take some time for you to get into your body, but continue easing in, visualizing the larger patterns, and you’ll unlock a whole new world.
We discover the pivot transition, involving extension, that moves us between over and under handed weaves. It is an excellent drill. Moving the body under the veil, we allow the veil to flow as we get out of the way and begin to understand more of how this is a partner dance.
Happy Dancing!
