LIVE Sat 5/16 6:15p-7:15p
Muse 6 tier +up
We are in a constant spiral dance of letting go (with the full moon) and calling in (with the new moon) - and I invite you to co-create ritual in rhythm each month.
We are the gold, we are the power, and we have it all within ourselves to create our dreams here on this planet. We already have what we crave, deep within ourselves. There’s nothing to want, when we have the mentality of abundance. It’s coming to us, it’s already here.
This month, gather to manifest in the portal of the new moon, to plant seeds for the coming moon cycle. Bring your journal as we vision how and what we re-birth, create, and manifest to foster for the rest of the year. Springtime is a potent time to plant seeds, after all. Celebrate life, celebrate you, celebrate everything. Let’s dance.
We connect to our wildness, finding the places of us that yearn to return to our natural, wild, and uninhibited selves with dance and breath, sweating drops of liquid dreams & pounding our prayers into the earth herself.
What is dance church?
It's a way of connecting with the divine, of worshiping this existence in whatever way you choose. Church is something I went to multiple times a week - my mom ran the choir and special music, my dad was treasurer/vp, my grandparents helped to found it, my nana the secretary.
I remember countless hours dancing to music in my head (or walkman) amidst the pews and in the halls, in the church libraries and gathering halls, the prayer walks and woods outside, trying to connect with some glowing man in the sky in ways that other people told me I should be spiritual. Sometimes I would feel it, other times I just had a great time, other times I felt empty. Most times, I felt elated after dancing and moving my body.
I always connected to this "something bigger" through movement most.
I realize that whatever it is I was reaching outside of me for is actually inside me, now, an expression that IS me. I don't subscribe to any religion, but do believe that we as humans are part of something bigger. Even if that's just science, or nothing... . that's bigger than just 1. :)
So I invite you to come pray in your own way, with your body as your temple, and worship at the altar of gratitude. Bring your own layers of spirituality, they are all welcomed here.
Participants should bring a journal & wear clothes to dance and move in.
